July 2013 Profile: Prince William & Duchess Kate
Jul 01, 2013July 2013 HD Profile: England’s Prince William & Duchess Kate
Prince William of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge
This month, let’s look at a “partnership” that’s been in the news lately because of their impending news: Prince William and his wife, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge (the former Kate Middleton), who are about to have a baby prince or princess one day soon. They have been watched closely during their entire relationship and have come through so far with flying colors: showing grace, humor and gentleness while being faithful to each other and to their own values. It can be a harsh limelight that they “endure” for the Royal family, but it seems that their Human Design charts reveal much about their unique bond with each other as well as their ability to withstand the demands of the Royal Family.
Prince William is a Manifesting Generator and his Incarnation Cross is the Vessel of Love. As a Manifesting Generator, he has plenty of energy and is also heard quite easily – without raising his voice, he is heard in all his roles: prince, son, search and rescue pilot, diplomat, husband. The Vessel of Love includes the Gates of the Love of Spirit, Love of the Self, Love of the Flesh and Love of Humanity. With these gates making up 70 percent of his personality, it’s easy to see why he comes across as a “sweetheart” to most people. You can even see it in the quality of his smile, especially in pictures with Kate. They just seem to glow when they’re together – a classic sign of a Vessel of Love. William also has the Channels of Talent, Exploration, Power (a nice combination of Multi-Tasking and Intuition) and Ambition. Overall, he’s got an intense ability to communicate with others and to be something of a prophet. He has an intuitive ability to lead through perfected form, which makes it a perfect job for him to be a search and rescue pilot. Who wouldn’t want to follow, when he kindly but calmly says, “Follow me!” It’s a powerful chart with a very sweet cast to it. He’ll likely make a very beneficent ruler, should he become the King of England one day.
Kate is a also a powerful figure as a Generator. Without the motorized throat as William has, she is innately a bit quieter. She has her own skills and talents in the Channels of Power and Ambition, as does he, as well as the Channels of Mutation and the Seeker (a combination of ideas and storytelling). Neither William nor Kate are emotional, and so their overall demeanors can be counted upon to be cool, calm and collected most of the time. Her Incarnation Cross is the Cross of Penetration, which makes her someone who will make an impression and get things done, according to her values and intutions. They’re both grounded in their thinking and in their roles in life and together.
With birthdays only six months apart, William and Kate have a lot of shared values, in face, and a shared purpose in life. They also share a 4 (the Opportunist) in their profiles, which is a foundational profile that always likes to be friends before lovers. That might explain their rather lengthy courtship!
As the Cross of Penetration, this will make Kate a wonderful confidante behind the scenes for William as he’s looking to make his contribution in various roles. They make a good team: He’s the leader, but she’s a strong partner. They’re just lovely to observe as a couple, which is part of the media frenzy. They seem able to express their affection energetically in public, and can be endearing without being contrived. During the wedding, their affection wasn’t for show; it seemed very authentic and genuine.
As a couple, in the composite chart, they have five electromagnetics together and that makes a nice match romantically. In other words, their hanging gates come together in five different places to hook up and create channels that describe their attraction and their complexity as a couple:
The 44-26 Channel of Transmission (or the Salesperson) so that they can present themselves well in public together; The 28-38 Channel of Struggle, so that they’ll know what’s worth struggling/fighting for; The 41-30 Channel of fantasy and desire, which gives them the ability to imagine something bigger than themselves; The 25-51 Channel of Initiation, which allows them to perceive perfected form with the entire centering circuit and the ability to lead in a unique way; and the 29-46 Channel of commitment, so that they’re both committed to the commitment of marriage and their roles in the Royal Family.
William and Kate are good together in public because they’re both fourth line profiles. They’re all about family and friends. Besides being rather outgoing in public, they may have dated so long because William didn’t want anything to happen to her as happened to Princess Diana, his mother. He was super protective of her and always will be, because of the Gate 50. He likely wanted to make sure that they were ready for each step along the way to marriage. His protection of her is another indication of the Vessel of Love.
They also have the Channel of Fantasy and desire that brings emotional definition for both of them, when they’re together, so that’s a nice combination, too. They also have the energy for the commitment, which comes up and is powered through will power, in a number of ways. Though neither of them have the Will Center defined, there are three channels that come together in the Will Center in the composite. There is so much energy in this composite that supports the maintenance of a commitment and the ability of this relationship to thrive. They have the energy about committing to something bigger than themselves with huge intuitive awareness.
Even the Prayer that they wrote to celebrate their wedding day was an indication of working together with a single objective: “God, Our Father, we thank you for our families, for the love that we share and for the joy of marriage. In the busyness of each day, keep our eyes fixed on what is real and important in life, and help us to be generous with our time and love and energy. Strengthened by our union, help us to serve and comfort those who suffer.” It’s a lovely union already– and they’re about to get a little larger as a family, as you may have heard with the imminent birth of their first child.
Since Kate had always worked in the family business, which was event planning and party supply, she’s had good experience in dealing with the public and working toward a common goal. She’ll have a friendly way to speak the truth, and likely become involved in some sort of service activity that will be authentic to her values. In time, she may stand up to some measures of protocol within the Royal Family. Together they’ve altered some protocols already, like riding in a car instead of a carriage following the wedding. As a couple, they probably will try to keep things relatively simple, but without being radical. They won’t be irreverent, but they will be keenly aware of what is true for them, and Kate will be abiding by her own terms with his support.
Even if they decided to do away with the monarchy at some point in the future, it won’t be revolutionary; it will be more visionary. They may one day say: “Hey, lets’ try it this way!” And the public will respond: “Yes, that makes sense”. Whatever changes they bring about, they will always be for the higher good of all concerned. With charts like these, they’ll have a lovely life!
And next month, I’ll run the chart for the new little one – as he or she is added to the Royal family partnership!
